Inspiration use to come when and from the one you less spect it, and that’s what happened with the roofrack stuff of this 600.

I was thinking about what the hell was I going to put over the wooden roofrack I made for it: surfoards? Skates? Spare wheels? Oil cans?

I had tried almost everything on many cars and had 0 ideas at that moment but the roofrack was already done, when suddenly my girl suggested to make some vintage luggage suitcases, and I said, why not?

And after figuring out how to make some of them, I must admit it was the best idea possible for this case (mental note: buy her some roses or invite her to a good restaurant)

But you may also want to know how I figured out to make some 1/24 luggage suitcases, so:

Check picture by picture, you may need:

-some foamed PVC 3mm sheet
-some book cover leather paper
-some thin metal rod
-a cutter knive
-some black and chrome markers
-a thin hand drill
-some tweezers

And now, here we go!

-Cut 2 rectangular equal PVC pieces
(Make ’em the size you want)
-Cut 2 leather paper bigger pieces
-Glue them to each PVC piece
-Cut the 4 corners as seen on pictures
-Now make this step 8 times (4 per piece)
-Apply glue on border, fold it and stick it
-Then cut out the spare unsticked border
-When done, glue and stick both pieces
-Mark corners with the wide chrome marker
-Paint the hinges with the thin marker
-Drill 2 holes on the handle place
-Cut a little metal rod piece and C shape it
-Get the tweezers and place it into the holes
-You can use some glue to fix it there

Now the suitcase is ready, make as much of them as you want, the sizes and shapes you want, and the luggage will be ready.

For those, I’m still planning adding some country letter decals to make ’em look more vintage so as if they have travelled too many miles, two done, less left to go!

Hope you liked, now D.I.Y. and enjoy!
